Aside from its beautiful surroundings, Granada is also famous for its beautiful buildings, guitar artisans, old universities, and a lively nightlife. The extensive history is recognized in every street of the city.
In Granada, there is a coastal area with a warm climate, a fertile Genil plain, and mountainous regions with a colder climate, where you can find Mulhacen, the largest peak on the peninsula of Spain. Its unique history has bestowed it with an artistic grandeur, embracing Moorish palaces and Christian Renaissance treasures. As the last Moorish capital on the Iberian Peninsula, it also holds great symbolic value.
Granada Spanish School
Current temperature:
The Granada Spanish School occupies an five-story building and has beautiful balconies that overlook the streets. The building is centrally heated and air-conditioned, both indispensable features in Granada, where summer and winter temperatures can be extreme. The atmosphere at the school is both friendly and relaxing.
The school is located in a safe, quiet area in the city center, just within a few meters of the cathedral and within walking distance of the Alhambra, the Albaicín and the Conference Center. Buses depart not far from the school almost every hour for the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Mediterranean Coast.
The Spanish School also offers a computer lab with Internet access and audio-visual equipment. The recreational room is on the lower level, where you can watch TV, videos, listen to music, read, relax, or play games.
The beautiful beaches of the Costa del Sol are less than an hour away. The city of Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, which is great for hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter. The Alhambra - part-fortress, part-palace - and the old Moorish quarter of the Albaicín, both World Heritage Sites, cannot be missed. As the last Moorish capital in the Iberian Peninsula, you will find a lot of Moorish palaces and Christian Renaissance treasures. Granada is close to Seville, Cordoba, Almeria, and other beautiful places.
