Cadiz is a province of Andalusia community in the south of Spain. The city stands on a peninsula jutting out into a bay, and it is almost entirely surrounded by water. Cadiz surroundings are densely wooded with pine trees and cork oaks while the city counts with a series of fascinating fortified towns, whitewashed houses lining narrow and winding streets projecting a 13th Century image.
The historic town of Cadiz offers numerous historic buildings and old monuments as well as many restaurants and bars that bring about a vivid street life to the city. The walls surrounding the whole town, the beaches with clear water and the customs and arts of different cultures make Cadiz an attractive destination, especially during the summer season when the city is crowded with local tourists.
