More commonly called the "Acapulco of the Dominican Republic" the city has undergone progressive growth since the 1970’s. The Sosua Spanish School is set in a Caribbean-styled building, surrounded by beautiful scenery, providing a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Because of its serene nature, classes are often held outside.
The school is located within a few blocks from the centre of Sosua, and only a five minute walk from the marvellous beach in the district of El Batey.
The school contains sunny terraces, a tennis court, and lush gardens where you can relax and socialize with your classmates. During office hours, there is free Internet access and a communal kitchen for those who wish to eat at school.
The school also provides day excursions around the city that you can enjoy. You can visit Puerto Plata and Santiago, which only take about a half of a day. For a full day trip, the school offers excursions to Punta Rusia, Jarabacoa. If you wish to spend a whole weekend away, you can enjoy trips to Samara or Santo Domingo, the capital.
