Tamarindo Beach is located along the northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica, more precisely on the Nicoya peninsula, province of Guanacaste. Once an old fishing village, today it’s a well-developed tourist destination with plenty of landscapes and facilities for a quiet stay.
Tamarindo may at first seem a remote spot, another beach in the endless list of amazing Costa Rican beaches. Yet this isolation is what makes Tamarindo a complete different destination. In its relaxed atmosphere and life lie its charm, within a short walk you’ll start to discover what Tamarindo has to offer to you. It will not open everything at once, you’ll need to take your time and discover its thick jungles, its winding coast, its natural habitats, its cloud forests, its swifting rivers, little by little.
Tamarindo Beaches rank among the top-class beaches in the country. They are vast, their waters are pristine and deep blue, in their surroundings nature displays all its diversity and beauty, and the town is in itself pretty colorful and with a lot of Tico’s taste. You’ll find here tradional bakeries that you’ll never forget, art galleries, restaurants, pubs, and discos, and of course: the best of water and outdoor sports.
