The Spanish School in Monteverde was founded in 1996. It is a two story building close to the main road that runs through town.
It consists of 17 classrooms, a full-equipped kitchen, a dining area, a recreational room, and a beautiful garden. There is also a WIFI internet extension available for a small fee.
In regards to the organized activities, one of the most exciting trips you can do is take an excursion to the Arenal Volcano or Manuel National Park. The school also organizes other activities such as hiking, bird-watching, horseback riding, and exploring the local cloud forest. Students commonly enjoy visits to the Nicoya Gulf too.
Aiport Transfer Service: Available at San Jose International airport at an extra cost. With this transfer service, plan to arrive on Saturday to San Jose. You will be picked up at the airport and taken to a hotel in San Jose. You will spend the night in San Jose and be picked up the next day(Sunday) and be taken to the bus station. From here you will take a private bus to Monteverde(cost not included in price = $25). The bus ride takes about 5 hrs.
