Located on the northern coast of Honshu Island on the Sea of Japan, Kanazawa is the capital city of Ishikawa Prefecture.

With centuries of intense history that support its development, Kanazawa is one of Japan’s principal castle towns. However, the city is today quite a modern destination, though still with a flavor of tranquility which makes Kanazawa quite unique within the Japanese context. One of the premises of the city is to preserve its precious natural and historical surroundings to set up a city where people coexist with nature, traditions, and modernity in perfect harmony. The Japanese school in Kanazawa is located downtown close to the main train station, shopping areas and markets. The center hosts a Public library in the same building available for all students.

This is a modern building and the school includes 5 classrooms, multipurpose room, study room, and student lounge area. Wireless internet connection is available at the school.

There are different afternoon activities and cultural programs. During weekends students will be taken to the mountains and to coastal regions.
