All about Japan

China Town
Complexity and contrast are the keynotes of Japan. The moment you step on this island, you’ll catch a glimpse of Japan’s intricate and ancient cultural tradition interwoven with one of the world’s wealthiest and most technologically advanced societies. The tension between old and new is a seal of Japan’s character. Japan is appreciated for its ancient gods and customs, still alive today. But, it is also admired for being the cutting edge of cool modernity. Bullet trains can whisk you from one extreme of the country to the other in just the blink of an eye. The journey may turn out into a bizarre postcard of isolated farmers living in the fields, crowds of people rushing in sprawling metropolis, privileged visitors relaxing in outdoor hot-spring pools, love-seekers hiking Japan’s lofty mountains, sun-worshippers sunbathing on Japan’s sun-drenched beaches, lively youngsters taking the most of Japans bright nightlife. And all of this in just one slinky island.

Tokyo city
Contemporary Japanese society is undoubtly urban. The majority of its people commutes everyday to work in an office, store, factory, or any other segment of the metropolitan economy. Being the second largest economy in the world, Japan endows its people with high standards of living and comforts in fashion, appliances, technologies, and traveling. Most of Japanese leisure activities are developed around an almost frightening impulse for consumption, and their inclination for trends and fads that quickly go in and out of fashion.
