Cambridge is a wonderful example of the fusion of the present and the past, of what you take for granted and what will open your eyes wide in admiration. Cambridge is a city that has shaped history and has led trends in the educational field, but it is also a city with a busy contemporary lifestyle and a progressive outlook. There’s plenty to see and do in this part of England. Cambridge’s attractions are many and its young population make the city a bustling spot with a dynamic and multicultural rhythm.
Though Cambridge is a city inevitably attached to a long educational tradition, it also excels in the majesty of its buildings, which are fascinating for architecture lovers. The city itself is quieter and more secluded than its counterpart, Oxford. Yet it charms people for the dominance of its landscapes and handsome buildings that endow the city with a flair of history and tradition. Perhaps that’s why it shouldn’t surprise us that the city is in the vanguard of scientific research and that it has gardened no less than ninety Nobel Prizes.
