Student Studying for 4 Weeks in Santiago de Chile

This was your first time abroad?
No, I went to Chile after visiting Argentina. I took part of my Spanish course in Buenos Aires. After finishing my course in Chile I will go to Bolivia and then back to home.

What did you like the most about Chile?
I liked the people. They are very friendly and open and it was easy for me to go around the city and make new friends while practicing my Spanish. I had a great time going out with a couple that lived next door to my residence.

How was the experience of learning Spanish in Chile?
As I said, it was very challenging and fun at the same time. During outings was when I really learnt the language. I tried to talk with everybody! I remember staying for at least one hour talking to a girl that sold ice-cream on the main square.

Did you have the possibility of visiting different areas? Which ones and which one did you like the most?  
Besides Santiago I visited Viña del Mar since I wanted to see the Chilean coast, but I didn’t find it very impressive and the water is rather cold. The excursion I really enjoyed was to Pucon and Morado.

What did you like most about the school?
I liked when we had classes in the garden. We were lucky that we got sunny days during my entire stay, so we spent most of our lessons learning outside.

What did you like the least about your experience?
There were some excursions that were changed at the last minute. I enjoyed them all, but I wish I had visited those we had been told at the beginning.
