"Playa del Carmen is very international and you can have a great time in discos, bars, etc and meet people from all over."
This was your first time abroad?
Not my first time definitely! I’m a travel junkie! I’ve been to Europe, North America and South America, and Japan. This is my first time in Mexico tough.
What did you like the most about Mexico?
As I travel a lot I don’t get impressed so easily, but what really called my attention was the fact that people in Playa del Carmen lead a traditional life filled with local customs, yet the city is very international and you can have a great time in discos, bars, etc and meet people from all over the world.
How was the experience of learning Spanish in Mexico?
I should say that it was a different way to get to know the country. I had never taken any language courses before, but my parents liked the idea and convinced me to take a Spanish course during my stay here. The course is fine; I believe I am learning fast just by also talking to locals. Muchas gracias a mis profesoras!
Did you have the possibility of visiting different areas? Which ones and which one did you like the most?
We are close to a lot of Mayan ruins around here and the beach. I already visited Tulum and Coba during last weekend; we went with some of the friends I have made here.
What did you like most about the school?
We are next to the beach!
What did you like the least about your experience?
I had to wait for a long time in the airport of Cancun for the school to pick me up. I had arranged a pick up service, but my flight was delayed and when I landed there was nobody waiting for me. I had to call the school and wait for around one hour to get picked up. I was really upset, but it was my mistake because I had forgotten to call the flight delay number to inform the school... anyway.. all done now.
