This was your first time abroad?
No. But it was my first time in South America. I came to Brazil because I was told the country had the most beautiful beaches of the region.

What did you like the most about Brazil?
Of course the seaside was incredible. After lessons we head to the beach and hang out there; we play beach sports, meet people or play the guitar. But what I enjoy the most is definitely the night outings. Discos are fabulous; Brazilians really know how to have fun! Caipirinhas which are the traditional drink here are a must and I am thinking about taking some Cachasa home.

How was the experience of learning Portuguese in Brazil?
I found it very easy. I already knew Spanish that is very similar to Portuguese. So I made great progress in a short time. What has been a little bit more difficult to learn was the specific vocabulary. But my teacher helped me a lot and I made a few local friends who I practiced with.

Did you have the possibility of visiting different areas of Brazil? Which ones and which one did you like the most?  
Not yet. I will definitely visit Rio next since it is a must. Until now I have focused on learning Portuguese and experience the local life.

What did you like most about the school?
The school location is very convenient. It is near the Paulista Avenue and near different shops, nice bars, and even a beautiful park. My teacher of course is very good and could carry out interesting conversations about different topics.

What did you like the least about your experience?
My host family is great but they are a bit far away. I still chose not to move homes because they make me feel at home and that is most important for me.
