Interview of the Month

Student Studying for 2 WEEKS IN CORDOBA, ARGENTINA

Taramin Lourie, from USA.
"The traditional food, the dances and how people interact with each other is what most surprised me”

This was your first time abroad?
No. I am a flight attendant! So I’ve been to many places like Spain, Germany and France. I love travelling, that’s why I chose this job.

What did you like the most about Argentina?
The Argentinean culture is amazing. The traditional food, the dances and how people interact with each other is what most surprised me. People are very friendly and open.

How was the experience of learning Spanish in Argentina?
Actually I came to review my Spanish. I learnt Spanish a long time ago, during high school and when I travelled to Spain. Spanish in Argentina is unique; the accent is different and a little bit harder to get used to.

Did you have the possibility of visiting different areas of Argentina? Which ones and which one did you like the most?
Yes. I had the chance to go to Buenos Aires and to Iguazu Falls. Here in Cordoba I went to really nice regions like Carlos Paz and Alta Gracia. Iguazu Falls were my favourite, I guess for the impressiveness of its landscapes.

What did you like most about the school?
What I like the most about the school is the friendly approach of the teachers. They are really committed and helpful.

What did you like the least about your experience?
Probably the fact that my teachers were changed three times. Unfortunately one got sick and the other had an emergency so we ended up with a third one.  Each teacher was very dedicated but they all had different teaching approaches.
