Why Intern Abroad?
Interning in different countries is a great way to keep people and the global market united. We are living in a world today that is becoming both more global and more dependent on other countries. Between natural resources and technological advancements, there is not one country that can survive without the help of another. For that, working and collaborating with countries abroad is essential in order for global markets to thrive and progress. The amount of different job opportunities in each field of expertise is endless.
Interning abroad is a great way to learn different languages, which will inevitably expand cultural competence and job variety. Learning a language in a job environment incorporates an entirely new dimension in the working field. To be fluent in a different language requires multidimensional thinking which adds a creative component to any job. To intern in your home country will give you job experience, however only from the angle that you are used to. To intern in another country adds an entirely new element of learning how to adapt and experience different work environments. "You get so used to the working techniques in your own country that you don´t even think there are other ways of functioning. Working abroad gives you a sense of organization and effectiveness," says an intern in Cordoba, Argentina.
