Rio is fantastic! Carnivals are the most fantastic and outrageous thing I've ever seen. People are so friendly and open you may even get a little bit scared at the beginning. Thanks to the school that organized for us a tourist schedule so that we got to see all major attractions in Rio.

I came to Rio during carnivals. I can't find the words to describe it! It is just stunning. There are big street parades, colourful chariots and dresses, and of course the fantastic rhythm. I took my Portuguese course right before the carnivals, so that I could handle the language by the time I took part of these wonderful parties. I had the time of my life; I only wish I had come with my friends from the USA, But I will surely come back some other time.
