Two ways to receive academic credit:
1) Through your own institution
2) Through Brookhaven College


1)Through your own Institution
Nowadays traveling abroad has become an important part of the academic world. Many universities encourage their students to travel abroad and are happy to help you travel through the program of your choice and receive credit at the same time. To aprove of a program they will ask you for specific information about the program you select to make sure the program follows their requirements. Common requests from universities are: course syllabus, talking to other teachers who know the program, classroom hours, course levels, academic policies, receiving progress reports from your teachers while abroad and giving you a test upon your return.

We will help you gather all the necesary paperwork and you may schedule an interview with your academic advisor if needed.


2) Through Brookhaven College
Receive transferable credit from Brookhaven College, a fully accredited, American community college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (www.sacscoc.org). You may receive credit for the following programs:

  • Argentina: Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Mendoza
  • Bolivia: Sucre
  • Costa Rica: Flamingo Beach, Heredia, Monteverde, Samara Beach
  • Ecuador: Quito
  • Guatemala: Antigua
  • Italy: Florence, Milan, Rome, Siena
  • Peru: Cusco
  • Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg
  • Spain: Alicante, Barcelona, Granada, Madrid, Marbella, Salamanca, Sevilla, Valencia
